The Center for Art and Culture hosts the Kerekeš Theatre with the hit comedy NEIGHBORS, on Friday, June 14th at 8 p.m. at the Vodice Cultural Center. The play is written and directed by Ljubomir Kerekeš, and the cast includes: Ljubomir Kerekeš, Darko Janeš, Tamara Šoletić, and Antonija Stanišić Šperanda.

On Monday, June 10th, in the atrium of the Cultural Center, the Vodice Center for Art and Culture will open the photo exhibition by Verdan Grubelić: Motor Boat TIJAT – A Boat with a Soul on Line 505. This exhibition is different from others because it is not just artistic but also a memory of the fates of the islanders. Through his lens, the author created a document of a time, highlighting the value of this boat as part of the local maritime heritage. The exhibition will be open until July 31, 2024.

The CMC festival, the largest festival of local pop and party music, is bringing the biggest names of the regional music scene to Vodice again this summer.

Start: The Okit hill can be reached on your own (3 km from the center of Vodice). The walking tour starts from the foot of Okit Hill, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Carmel, to the top and back, a total of 1600 m.

In honor of Ivo Brešan, born on May 27, 1936, the City Library of Vodice is organizing the Ivo Brešan Day colloquium for the fourth year in a row with the aim of researching and presenting the diverse dimensions of Brešan's literary and artistic creativity.
The partners in the organization of the colloquium are the professors of the Department of Philosophy of the University of Zadar, the Ministry of Culture and Media, the City of Vodice, the Vodice Center for Art and Culture, and Vodice Tourist Board.

The festival program will offer the audience excellent performances of different poetics, genres and styles, and a very important segment of the FHKA program are the round tables of the members of the Commission who will talk with the participants in order to evaluate the performances and provide additional education for the participants. All festival performances will be closely monitored by the judging committee, and at the end of the Festival, on Sunday, May 19, nominations and awards in nine categories will be announced.
Admission to all performances is free!

Vodice Tourist Board is organizing a picnic in Rakitnica for all citizens and guests of Vodice. The picnic is held by the church of St. John, with participation of the music ensemble and the Cultural Association Vodiške perlice, which will show the traditional customs of preparing wild greens and polenta. At 11:15 a guided walking tour starts from the picnic location to the Liburnian-Roman site on Velika Mrdakovica. The picnic starts at 10:00 with transportation from the Vodice bus station organized for all visitors from 8:30, every half hour.
